    • Velma F. Diemel, age 83, of 1244 Arlington Ave., Manitowoc, died on Thursday morning, June 28, 2007, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.

      Velma was born on Oct. 27, 1923, in Waupaca County, daughter of the late Floyd and Alma (Zarling) Bodoh. She grew up in Clintonville, and was a 1941 graduate of Clintonville High School. She married Russell Novcaski in October of 1949. She later married Lloyd E. "Jiggs" Diemel on Sept. 13, 1974. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1985. Velma was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of Eagles Aerie 706 of Manitowoc. She worked for 29 years as a loan officer at First National Bank.

      Survivors include one daughter: Becky (Doug) Delsman, Cato; two grandsons: Dustin Delsman and his fiancee, Dana Kornely, Greenleaf; Dylan Delsman, Daytona Beach, Fla.; one sister-in-law: Eileen Krull, Nichols. She was preceded in death by an infant son: Perry Novcaski; one sister: Gladys Bodoh.

      Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2007, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1712 Menasha Ave., Manitowoc. The Rev. Richard Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, town of Lessor in Shawano County. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

      The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is serving the Diemel Family.
