- INJURIES IN AUTO ACCIDENT FATAL
ACCIDENT ON SUNDAY HAS FATAL RESULT
Mrs. Breider Passes Away Here -- Inquest To Be Held
Injuries which she sustained when she was struck by an automobile while returning from church services Sunday night proved fatal to Mrs. Peter Breider of Mishicot who passed away at the hospital here last evening. Mrs. Breider suffered a fracture of the left leg, had her cheek bone broken and a fracture of the skull. She was badly bruised and internally hurt when she was dragged more than fifty feet by the automobile.
Inquest is Ordered.
An inquest was ordered by Coroner W. G. Kemper today and a jury is being summoned. The inquest will probably be held tomorrow, it was said. The body of Mrs. Breider has been taken to the home at Mishicot where the funeral will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock from Holy Name church.
Probe Speeding Charge
According to reports at the time of the accident, which happened Sunday night shortly after 8 o'clock the automobile which struck Mrs. Breider was driven by two Two Rivers boys, Silas Koeser and A. Schultz, who were accompanied by two girls in the car. The boys, who stopped and gave aid, assisting in bringing Mrs. Breider to the hospital here, said they had been unable to avoid the accident, to either strike Mrs. Breider or Mr. Breider, who were returning from church services. One report said that three cars on the street at the time were traveling at a high rate of speed and this will be one of the chief subjects of investigation by the coroner's jury.
Was Born In County
Mrs. Breider was 59 years of age, having been a native of St. Wendell March 25, 1867. She was married to Mr. Breider eighteen years ago. The couple have no children but Mrs. Breider had been a mother to two stepsons, August Breider of Two Rivers and William of Mishicot who with her husband survive. One brother, Jacob Lumberding of Kaukauna also survives.
