- Age 79, passed away at her home in Appleton on May 17, 2006 after a long but good fight with cancer, and into the comfort of the loving arms of her Lord Jesus. Geneva was born August 8, 1926 in Dale, WI to the late Raymond L. and Alda L. (Kaufman) Dorschner. On March 6, 1945 she married Robert R. Vogt. She loved gardening, sewing, a wide variety of other crafts, and reading her Bible. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Appleton. She and her children traveled extensively with her husband Robert, during his 28 years in the Air Force.
Geneva is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Lantz, Appleton; two sons, Thomas (Margaret) Stephen, Olathe, KS, Timothy Paul of Austin, TX; a daughter-in-law, Jan (Marc) Vogt, Grand Junction, CO; seven grandchildren, Christopher Diamond, Tommy (Melinda) and Robert Vogt, Jennifer Lantz, Aaron Vogt, Elias and Laura Vogt; a sister, Berniece Jaeckels and a brother, Garold (Janet) Dorschner, Appleton; sister-in-law, Delores Dorschner, and many nieces and nephews. Geneeva is also survived by two very special nieces, Nancy Dorschner, Louisville, CO, and Judith Fischer, Greenville, WI. Geneva is preceded in death by her husband, Robert R.; Three brothers, Shurly, Gilbert and Bayward Dorschner; one son, G. Marc, and one grandson Bryan Lantz.
Graveside burial service will be held at Dale Union Cemetery on Friday May 26, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Mark Henke will officiate. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. All who wish may attend.
