- John D. VanOfferen, 59, of Riverview, Florida, passed away February 17, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Jason and Kyle VanOfferen; daughters, Michelle and Breanne VanOfferen; grandson, Gavin Bessette; brothers, Bill and Joe VanOfferen; sisters, Anne Boykin, Mary Mayerl, and Gretchen Lausman. The family will receive friends 6 to 7 p.m., with a funeral service at 7 p.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Stowers Funeral Home, Brandon, FL. "Rest easy now knowing our love is with you now and forever as it has always been. We love you always and forever. "

John D. Van Offeren, 59, died unexpectedly at Brandon Medical Center Florida on February 17, 2013. John is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Jason (Micki), Michelle, Kyle and Breanne (Harry); grandchildren, Gavin, Isaac, and Preston. Other surviving family members include brothers, William(Zella), Joseph (Janet); sisters, Anne Boykin (Steve), Mary Mayerl (Joseph), Gretchen Lausman (John); nieces and nephews; and aunts and uncles. John was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn (Van Zeeland), Barbara Haggerty (Van Offeren), and aunts and uncles.
He was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on April 26, 1953. He was the son of Mary (Heesakker) and William Van Offeren. John graduated from St. Lawrence Seminary and St. Norbert's College. Prior to becoming owner and president of Insurance Management Partners Inc, he was sales consultant at Boston Mutual Insurance Company.
John enjoyed fishing, game shows, cards, and being with family. John will be remembered for his humor, genuineness, dependability, generosity, compassion and caring. We love you and thank for the memories we will always cherish.
