      Al Sanderfoot Rt. 1 Bear Creek

      Age 68, died suddenly Tuesday morning, February 10, in Clintonville. He was born May 8, 1907 in Freedom, Wisconsin. He married Esther Van Lanen April 15, 1929 in Wrightstown. Mrl Sanderfoot lived in the Freedom and Little Chute area for many years. He servied with the U.S. Army in World War II. He moved to Manawa in 1958, opering a restaurant there for six years, then moved to Bear Creek in 1964 where he ran a restaurant until his retirement two years ago. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and a charter member of the Bear Creek Lions Club.

      Survivors include his wife, Esther; a daughter, Mrs. Ed [Laverne] Ellenbecker, Bear Creek; three sons; Al Sanderfoot Jr., New London; Lyle Sanderfoot, Appleton; and David Sanderfoot, Rt 1, Bear Creek; two brothers; Joseph Sanderfoot, Little Chute; and Theodore Sanderfoot, De Pere; two sisters; Mrs. Albert [dello] De Bruin, Appleton; and Mrs. Harry [Hattie] Van Der Wyst, Little Chute; 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

      The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Bear Creek with the Rev. Joseph Shinners officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery in the spring. There will be military services by the VFW following the funeral mass. Friends may call at Heuer-Siever-Stensrud Funeral Home, Clintonville, 2 p.m. Wednesday until 10:30 a.m. Thursday, where there will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
