- Larry "Pumpkin" Shallow, 87, Green Bay, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017. He was born September 25, 1929, in Oconto, to the late Lawrence and Vivian (Brabrant) Shallow-Bell. He married Sharon Bullis, January 26, 1957, at Styles Catholic Church. She preceded him in death in 1983.
Larry was raised on a farm in Oconto. He lived in Phoenix, AZ for 10 years where he obtained a technical degree in Diesel Mechanics. He retired from LCL Transit in Green Bay, and was a proud member of the Teamsters Local #75.
He loved dancing with his late wife, Sharon, and enjoyed woodworking and home improvement projects. Larry was especially proud that his children were college educated—his son a Senior Vice President in Marketing with an MBA; his daughter a retired Controller, CPA and CMA; his son-in-law a Controller with an MBA. Larry's grandchildren include Ryan Baldwin, studying Accounting at UW-LaCrosse—taking leave to care for Larry, and Erin Baldwin finishing her Master's degree in Bacteriology at UW-Madison.
Survivors include his two children, Shawn (Margaret) Shallow, Hoover [AL]; and Shannon (Kevin) Baldwin, Green Bay; two grandchildren, Ryan Baldwin, Green Bay; and Erin Baldwin, Madison; two brothers, Thomas (Wendy) Bell, Maribel; and Daniel Bell, Milwaukee; three sisters, Mary Ann (Melvin) Olson, Lena; Donna (Howard) Van Hulle, Oconto; and Brenda (James) Svejda, Oconto.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Earl and Steven Shallow and one sister, Yvonne Tiegs.
Family and friends may visit SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 710 N. Baird St., Green Bay, on Friday, July 14, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 12:00 p.m., with the Rev. Anthony Cirignani officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
