  John Lamers, Sr. John Lamers, Sr., 83, route 4, Kaukauna, died this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs Frank McDaniels, 533 N. Superior street, Appleton, after an illness of one month. He was born in Sheboygan, Jan. 1, 1864, and at the age of 18 moved to Dundas where he worked as a blacksmith. Two years later he bought a farm in the town of Buchanan and lived there the remainder of his life with the exception of the last ten months when he lived with his daughter. He was a member of the Holy Name society of the St. Paul's Catholic church, Wrightstown. Besides Mrs. McDaniels, he is survived by four other daughters, Mrs. George Koerner and Miss Margaret Lamers, both of Green Bay, Miss Joan Lamers, De Pere, and Mrs. Elzear Wymelenberg, Wrightstown; five sons, Bernard J., Hugh and John jr., all of route 4, Kaukauna, Peter, Wrightstown, and Michael, Los Angeles; a brother, Peter, Milwaukee; and 39 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Friday morning at the St. Paul's Catholic church, Wrightstown, with the cortege forming at the Greenwood Funeral home, Kaukauna, at 8:30. The Rev. August Broekman, pastor, will be in charge and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends mayu call at the funeral home after 7o'clock Wednesday evening. The rosary wiii be recited at 8 o'clock Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
