  • Notes
    • Madlyn B. Jerabek, of Green Bay, WI was 88 years of age when she passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at a local nursing center. In addition to her parents and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank Sr. and Albina (Woodsedalek) Jerabek, she was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Jerry (Marion), Milas and Frank Jr. Jerabek; a granddaughter, Sara Kabacinski; and a grandson, PFC Ryan Jerabek USMC (Memorial #10427540).

Madlyn was the daughter of the late Jule and Blanche (Demoulin) Gilson. She was a graduate of Casco High School and American Beauty College in Green Bay. On September 8, 1948, she married Eugene “Gene” Jerabek at Grace Presbyterian Church in Green Bay. They enjoyed 63 years of marriage before Gene’s death on February 3, 2012.

Although a licensed cosmetologist, Madlyn opted to forego her career to diligently support Gene for 48 years at Gene Jerabek Realty and Specialty Supply. Madlyn and her daughter also were integrally involved in the daily operation of Brookwood Stables, which they owned and managed in Trout Creek Estates in Oneida until Gene’s retirement. She was a member of Bible Truth Assembly.

Madlyn was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed chairside viewing of baseball, basketball, football, golf and tennis on television. The prowess of the Packers and the Brewers were her favorite teams.

Those who knew Madlyn were aware she valued her privacy and any small gesture or consideration extended to her. Fiercely independent with a reluctance to request assistance captured her personal essence. Her daily enjoyment of breakfast blend coffee and pizzelle wafers will be fondly remembered as well as her indulgence of milk chocolate toffee.
