- Little Chute's third Generation Blacksmith Dies
Little Chute -- Henry Vanden Wildenberg, 70, of 409 E. Main street, died at 6:30 Friday evening after suffering a heart attack.
He was born Oct. 24, 1880, in Little Chute where he lived all of his life. He was a member of Vandenbroek court No. 40, Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Holy Name society of St. John church. He had served as the village blacksmith for 53 years and was the third generation of his family to be employed in that capacity.
Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening. The rosary will be said there Saturday and Sunday evenings at 8 o'clock. A solemn requienm funeral mass will be sung at 9 o'clock Monday morning at St. John church and burial be in the parish cemetery.
Survivors are four daughters, Sister Mary Barbara, Racine, Sister Mary Kostka, Fowler, Mich., Mrs. Louis Beyer, Milwaukee and Mrs. Hilary Eckes, Little Chute; two sons, Joseph and Chris. Little Chute; three sisters, Mrs. Theodore Coenen, Little Chute, Sister Mary Cosmas, Racine and Sister M. Damien, Pewaukee; one brother, John Vanden Wildenberg, Van Dyne; 14 grandchildren.
