- Mrs. Andrew Komatz, 70, died at 2:05 a.m. today at Family Heritage Nursing Home where she had been a patient for two months. Death followed a year's illness. She formerly lived at 2941 E. Chestnut St. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church; the Rt. Rev. Msgr. C.W. Gille officiating, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Komatz, the former Wilma B. Williams, was born at Shiocton July 14, 1896, the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Wesley Williams. She was married to Andrew Komatz at Black Creek February 24, 1919. They came to Wisconsin Rapids 45 years ago. Her husband died February 4, 1945.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lester Thayer, New London, and Mrs. Gordon Griffin, Wisconsin Rapids, and eight sons, Clarence, Shiocton, James, Babcock; David, Ventura, California, Frederick, Weathersford, Texas, Herbert, Edward, Roy and RAymond, all of Wisconsin Rapids.
There are 31 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Taylor Funeral Home beginning Wednesday noon. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
