  • Notes
    • Todd K. Darrow, 73, Green Bay, our beloved husband and father passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012. He was born August 15, 1939, in Green Bay, to the late Neal and Genevieve (DeBroux) Darrow.

Todd was a 1957 graduate of Central Catholic/Premontre High School and attended the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. He married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Rosemary Loehlein.

Todd spent his entire career in the wholesale building material business as General Manager with both Edward Hines Lumber Company and Huttig Building Products before retiring in 1996, and then moved to Lake Shishebogama in Minocqua where he fished in the morning and golfed in the afternoon. He was active in industry functions and also served on the Suamico Planning Commission and the Suamico's volunteer fire department.

When discovering he had stage 4 inoperable cancer in December, he spoke to sting cancer groups at Preble High School, Bay Port and Notre Dame Academy about his journey with cancer and life experiences. With the help of the Preble and Bay Port sting cancer groups along with the University of Notre Dame Alumni Association, Todd was able to complete his primary Bucket List item - to visit his favorite spot on this earth, the Grotto at the University of Notre Dame where when he was a student used to visit and pray daily that 1.) Little Toddy Darrow from Green Bay could survive at Notre Dame and 2.) that Rosie would be waiting to marry him. He got his wishes and was able to thank "Our Lady". He also completed another Bucket List item of flying an airplane thanks to some of his nieces and nephews. Todd golfed to the very end.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Rosemary "Rosie"; five children, Tammy (Steve) Skogg, Mike (Brenda) Darrow, Scott (Linda) Darrow, Sue (Tim) Gore, all of Green Bay; Dave Darrow (best friend, Kathy Filipiak), Arbor Vitae, WI; ten grandchildren, Carrie (Tony) Lewis, Justin (Carly) Darrow, Trevor Darrow, Matthew, Megan and Mark Darrow, Wesley Carter, Cassie (Chris) Andreas, Windy Filipiak (Brad Matuszek), Holly (Mike) Seymour; his great-grandchildren, Deion Skogg, Levi Young II, Lexi (Angus) Carter, Kyli and Alyzabeth Carter, Landen Carter, Tryg and Kable Andreas, Austin Monroe, Allys DeBeck, Wyatt Seymour.

Todd's family was the love of his life. He is also survived by two brothers, Neal (Carol) Darrow, Minocqua; Craig (Molly) Darrow, Green Bay; a sister, Diane Cormier, Green Bay; along with many nieces and nephews.
