- James W. Rickert, 93, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on 7/29/17 after a long life well lived.
Jim began his career at Kimberly Clark as a chemist assistant before serving in the US Army WWII. After his service, he worked with Montgomery Ward and was retired from American Can Company as Sales Representative over 30 years ago.
Born in Freedom, Wisconsin on 11/11/23 to Katherine Fermanich Rickert and John C. Rickert, he was the youngest of 10 siblings, who have all passed before him. He attended Freedom High School and University of Nebraska-Deforest Electronics- in Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by Anne Van Grinsven Rickert, the mother of their four daughters and later by Marguerite Constance (Lancaster) Rickert of Jackson, Mississippi.
He is survived by daughters Jennifer (Rick) Nelson, Ringgold, GA; Kay (Mike) Gutierrez, Mayville, MI; Patricia Carrigan, Huntsville, AL; Janet Traynom, Tampa, FL and many neices, nephews and friends.
Also surviving are 10 Loving Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren, who were often found at his feet, on his lap or on his scooter for a ride.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 on Friday, September 22 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on County Hwy KK in Darboy Internment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Kimberly. Immediately following internment, family and friends are invited for lunch at Holy Spirit Parish Center in Darboy.
