  • Notes
    • Thomas “Tom” Goodrich, 58, of Mountain, Wisconsin, formally of Kiel, passed away at his home with his wife Colleen, service animal and pet dog by his side on Wednesday morning, July 26 , 2017.

Tom was born on April 27, 1959, to Carlton and Marilyn (Klaeser) Goodrich of Kiel, Wisconsin.

After Tom graduated high school in 1978, he enlisted in the army where he found a love of nature and independence.

He later married Colleen Humphrey (May 20, 2006) and resided in Mountain, Wisconsin, on their farmette.

Tom was an avid outdoorsman. He was very knowledgeable about nature and animals. He enjoyed hunting and trapping. You could often find Tom hiking in his own backyard (a backyard he shared with the Nicolet National Forest). He spent many hours tending to his pollinator fields that he and his wife Colleen had behind their house. Tom had grown to love raising honeybees and had a deep admiration for their role in sustaining agriculture and nature its self. He believed that knowing where your food comes from is just as important as treating all animals humanely.

Tom is survived by his wife Colleen (Humphrey) Goodrich of Mountain; one daughter Nicole (Anthony) Piscia of Milwaukee; his mother Marilyn Goodrich of Neenah, formally of Kiel; He is also survived by two sisters and two brothers, Carla (Mike) Lehman of Florida; Pamela Goodrich of Florida; Rick Goodrich of Florida; Steven (Laurie) Goodrich of Neenah; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; Tom is survived by his mother in-law Loretta Humphrey; three sister in-laws, Carla (Jim) Bushmaker; Eunice (Mark) Kamps; Gail (Jon) Lesperance; and many nieces and nephews. Tom’s father Carlton “Cully” Goodrich preceded Tom in death and his older sister Sandra and her husband Tom Weborg; also preceded in death by his father in-law Duane Humphrey.

Per Thomas wishes there will be a Military Honor Service to honor Tom. It will take place on Friday, Aug. 11 from 1 until 3 p.m., at Mountain Cemetery 14097 Silver Hill Rd., Mountain, WI 54149.
