age 65, loving mother, and grandmother, passed away Friday evening, June 5, 1992, at Kaukauna Community Hospital Following a six month struggle with cancer. She was born December 4, 1926 in the Town of Harrison, the daughter of the late Anton and Johanna Hopfensperger Marx. She attended Kaukauna High School. Janet was married to Raymond A. Fischer on August 12, 1944 in Darboy. He preceded her in death in 1981. She was a member of the St. Aloysius Cathollic Church, Kaukauna, St. Al's Ladies Society and the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
She is survived by four daughters and three sons in-law, Betty and John Forree, Mary Kasten and a friend Mark Steffensen, Margie and Ken Reinholz, all of Kaukauna, and Carold and Marty Surman, of Appleton; three sons and two daughters in-law, Bill and Dolly, Charlie and Val, and Jerry Fischer, all of Kaukauna; 14 grandchildren, Mike and Jeff Borree, Barry and Katie Kasten, Kenny, Kyle and Kevin Reinholz; Heather and Joe Fischer, Courtney, Kara and Jordon Fischer, and Marissa and Jared Surman; two sisters, Lorraine Gauerke, Kaukauna, and Isabelle Ban Boxtel, Little Chute; three brothers and two sisters in-law, Isadore Marx, Edward, and Alice Marx, all of Freedom, she is further survived by her husband's sister and brothers, Katie and Bob VerVoot, Kaukauna; Cliff and Pat Fischer, Menasha; Joe Fischer, Kaukauna, and Ed and Marlene Fischer, Wrightstown.
She was preceded in death by four brothers in-law, Sylvester Van Enbergen, Casey Van Boxtel, George and Eugene Fischer, and a sister in-law. Lorraine Marx. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Father John Hephner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call at Fargo Funeral Home 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna from 4 until 9 p.m. on Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday (tonight), A memorial fund has been established in her name. Throughout her illness she kept her smile and sense of humor. The family wishes to thank the many relatives and special friends who were so faithful in their prayers, care and visits which helped to make her illness easier to bear.
