    • We have witnessed the passing of Sylvia Marie Bird on May 30, 2017 at age 87.

      Born on February 27, 1930 to John and Amelia DeGoey in Combined Locks, Wisconsin.

      Sylvia was one of eleven siblings and is now survived by her sister Joann.

      Sylvia married Robert Warren Bird on July 6, 1948, and they were married for 51 years until his passing on December 31, 1999. Together they raised five children: Bobby, David, Sandy, Joe, and Michael.

      She is survived by David, Joe, and Michael, along with widespread family throughout Wisconsin, Arizona, and many other places across the country. She was a loving grandmother to numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

      Sylvia has passed through and touched hundreds of lives throughout her lifetime leaving behind thousands of joyful and loving memories. Those of us who were fortunate enough to be a part of her journey shall not forget Sylvia in our prayers and in our lives. She will be loved and remembered for generations to come.

      The family of Sylvia Bird would like to extend an invitation to those who were touched by her to join us for services to celebrate her life. Services will be held at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95838 on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:00am. A potluck reception will be held after services at the chapel for family and friends.
