- Ronald F. Rodaer, 80, Duck Creek, died Friday, February 22, 2013, following a battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 29, 1932, in Duck Creek, to Raymond and Loretta (Collen) Rodaer.
Ronald served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On April 15, 1961, he married Barbara Daul at St. Willebrord Catholic Church. He was part owner of the family business, Howard Oil.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children and their spouses, Ann and Jim Dupont, Mark Rodaer, John and Colleen Rodaer; two grandsons, Johnny Rodaer, Jr., Gregori Rodaer; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet and Lee Hermsen, Doris and John Giesler; a sister-in-law, Marleen Rodaer; a sister-in-law and her husband, Lois and Jerry Rottier; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister and brother-in-law, Judith and Jerry Wendricks; a brother, Richard Rodaer; a brother-in-law, David Daul; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Henrietta and Leonard Daul.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave. (one quarter mile east of the corner of Cardinal Lane and Glendale Ave.), from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with Rev. John Bergstadt officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
