Webb, Elaine E.
Elaine E. Webb, 82, passed away at her home on March 21, 2010. She was born on July 15, 1928, in De Pere, to the late William and Marie (Hartjes) Ambrosius. She attended grade school and high school in De Pere, graduating with the Class of 1946.
Elaine was a lady of strong faith and an active member of Nativity Of Our Lord Catholic Church, serving as a sacristan, altar linens, Sunday hospitality and liturgy to the Nursing Home. She was also a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Ladies Guild.
Elaine was employed at Moore Response Marketing as a Production Manager. She retired in 1994 after 36 years of service.
Elaine will be lovingly missed by her six children, Carol (Steve) Douglas, Cary, N.C.; Lee (Linda) Verhagen, Tina (Glen) Brosig, Fred (Liz) Webb, Jim Webb and Lynn, and Bob (Cheryl) Webb, all of Green Bay. Elaine has 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lucina (Gerald) Richardson, Callista (Richard) Buntman, Rosemarie (Gary) Pollatz; three brothers, William (Jo) Ambrosius, Roy (Bea) Ambrosius, Edward "Jack" (Patricia) Ambrosius. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nick Webb, and first husband, Merlin Verhagen.
Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday March 26, 2010. Parish prayer service at 6 p.m. There is no visitation Saturday morning. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, corner of Cormier Rd. and Oneida St., Ashwaubenon, on Saturday March 27, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will be at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Elaine's family extends a special thank you to our six aunts and uncles who visited her often and kept her spirits up. Also, a very special thank you to all those at Unity Hospice (especially Yvette) who took such good care of our Mom.
