    • Linda Marie VerkuilenLinda M. Verkuilen, 73, of Kimberly, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013. She was born June 3, 1940, in Wisconsin Rapids, daughter of the late Ollie and Ethel (Gibson) Prusynski. On October 15, 1960, Linda married Dick Verkuilen at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly. Linda loved spending time at the cottage on Chute Pond. She loved watching the birds, reading and cooking. In their younger years, Linda and Dick did a lot of camping and ice fishing. In her later years, she was an exceptional caregiver to her mother. Linda is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dick, Kimberly; a son, Paul (Sandy) Verkuilen, Iron Ridge; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a sister, Karin (Ken) VanderVelden; three sisters-in-law: Janice, Mary Beth and Rosie; and many nieces, nephews and other special family members and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Ethel, and her mother and father-in-law, Ted and Mary Verkuilen. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013, at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, 101 Canal St., Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. The Verkuilen family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Appleton Medical Center and Theda Care at Home Hospice for all of their wonderful care given to Linda.
