- Age, 79, passed away Thursday, December 27, 1973, in New London, Wisconsin, following a short illness. She was born on June 17, 1894, in Stephensville, Wisconsin, daughter of Gerhard and Sophia (Heiden) Lettman. She lived in the Shiocton area for most ofe her life. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aide. She was also a past member of the Shiocton Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred; two sons, Leo Shepherd, Shiocton, WI., and Lyle Shepherd, Glendale, Arizona; a foster son, Kenneth Wingate, a sister. Lydia Kettner, Shiocton, two sisters-in-law, Helen Lettman, Big Falls, and Gladys Lettman, Illinois. She is furthur survived by six grandchildren; Bradley and Bethany Shepherd, Gary, Judith, Janet and Cynthia Wingate. She was preceded in death by five brothers; William (Katherine) Lettman, Otto (Anna) Lettman, Louis (Anna) lettman, Harry (Anna) Lettman, Henry Lettman, three sisters and four brother-in-laws; Mathilda (Claude) Earll, Mary (Rudolph) Schwandt, Ella (Edward) Callan and Joseph Kettner, and a granddaughter, Brenda Shepherd.
Complete funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 1973, at the First Lutheran Church in Shiocton, with Rev. Gerald Hinz officiating. Friends may call at the Borchardt and Moder Funeral Home in Shiocton from 2 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 1973, and from noon on Sunday at the church until the time of the service.
