    • Phyllis M. Reichardt, age 81, a Valders resident, died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Laurel Grove, Manitowoc.

      Phyllis was born on June 13, 1936 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Carl and Mildred (Reschke) Hillmann. She attended St. John - St. James grade school in Reedsville and graduated from Reedsville High School, Class of 1954. On October 6, 1956 she married Jerry Reichardt at St. John - St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. He preceded her in death on July 27, 2000. After graduating from high school, Phyllis was employed with the Tinsel Company and then her and Jerry purchased their own dairy farm in 1960, retiring in 1995, they then moved to Valders. Phyllis was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Reedsville, until closing. She then became a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Maple Rock Homemakers and enjoyed playing sheepshead and bingo. Phyllis loved to cook and bake and was known for her schaum torte and old fashioned dressing. Holidays were always enjoyed with her family. If 10 people were coming, she made enough for 25. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were always willing to give her a helping hand at home when she was unable. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers.

      Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Tammie & Paul Nagel, Valders; one son and daughter-in-law: Scott & Rhonda Reichardt, Reedsville; four grandchildren: Stephanie Nagel, School Hill, Joe Nagel, Milwaukee, Rachel Nagel, Valders, Garrett Nagel, Valders; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Russell & Ethel Hillman, Reedsville, Jerome & Rosemary Hillman, Brillion, Bill & Nancy Hillman, Reedsville; one sister and brother-in-law: Kathy & Gary Wallander, Whitelaw; and one sister-in-law: Joyce Wenzel, Appleton. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter; three brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Casey Reichardt, Vernon Wenzel, Dick & Pat Tuschel; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Harold & Lucille Reichardt.

      Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2017 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (11303 Wehausen Road), town of Liberty. Officiating at the Service will be Pastor Gregory Pope with burial at Zion Evergreen Cemetery, Reedsville.
