    • Richard Gilsdorf was born on September 23, 1926 and passed away on January 3, 2015 at the age of 88. He was united in marriage to Lucy Schipper on November 9, 1985 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Richard served in the United States Army during WWII from 1945-1947 on the island of Okinawa. During his working years he was employed at the Kohler Company for 41 years and owned Dick's Decorating for over 50 years. He was also active in the Boy Scouts and the Lion's Club in Sheboygan Falls.

      Richard is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lucy; children, Gerard "Gary" (Linda), John (Karen), Michael (Lori) Schipper, Robert (Alice) Schipper, Jenny Schipper (fiance Mitchell Meyer); 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and sister, Sister Marita Gilsdorf. He is proceeded in death by his first wife, Jean; children, Judith, Thomas, Marian; parents, Othmarand Matilda and brothers, Father Gordon, Father Daniel and David (Bernetta).

      Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 327 Giddings Ave., Sheboygan Falls, on Saturday, January 10th, 2015 at 10:00 A.M.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials will be given to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.

      The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Chilton Care Center and Heartland Hospice.
