    • Funeral services were held Saturday for Anton N. Hoffmann, 74, a co-owner of the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral Homes at New Holstein and Chilton for 50 years.

      Mr. Hoffman was stricken with a heart attack and died late Wednesday morning at his home in Chilton.

      The solemn requiem high Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church. The Revs. Gordon Gilsdorf, Daniel Gilsdorf and Duane Dionne were offers of the Mass. Interment was in the parish cemetery.

      A resident of Calumet County his entire life, Mr. Hoffmann was born Aug. 18, 1890, at Charlesburg a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hoffmann. He married Emma Gilsdorf Nov. 10, 1915, at St. Mary’s Church in Hilbert.

      Mr. Hoffmann was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Chilton, the St. Joseph Society and Holy Name Society and the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association.

      Survivors are the widow; two sons, Ralph of Neenah, and Marvin of Chilton; two daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Annacille) Libben of Virginia Beach, Va., and Mrs. Robert (Rosemary) Margenau, Sheboygan; 16 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. John Gebhart and Mrs. Otto Gebhart, both of Charlesburg.
