AUBURNDALE -- Lorraine M. Haffenbredl, age 77, of Auburndale, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, where she had resided since August 2003.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale. The Rev. Eric Linzmaier will officiate and a granddaughter, Sarah Haffenbredl, will be the organist for a daughter-in-law, Joann Haffenbredl, and Colleen Stini as vocalists.
Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Auburndale, and serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Ertl, James Brandner, Don Ertl, Bob Ertl, Tim Hafenbredl and David Prasnicky.
The visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Lorraine was born Feb. 9, 1929, in Marshfield to Michael and Olive (Burkhardt) Ertl. She attended St. Mary's Parochial School, Auburndale. She married Louis A. Haffenbredl on Oct. 6, 1948, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She had been employed at Slim's Steak House in Bakerville and also had worked part time at Figi's in Marshfield. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers and was a 50-year member of the Catholic Family Insurance Society. She enjoyed embroidering and crocheting, cooking and baking, gardening, puzzles, playing cards, loved polkas and waltzes, and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Louis; and her children, Jerry (Joann) Haffenbredl of Auburndale, Donna (Bill) Roth of Junction City, Randy Haffenbredl of Auburndale, and Greg Haffenbredl of Junction City. She also is survived by three grandchildren, Lisa Haffenbredl, Julie (Tim) Hafenbredl and Sarah Haffenbredl, and three great-grandchildren, Brittany Sedlacek, Melanie Hafenbredl and Hunter Welch. She is further survived by her siblings, Dolores (Eugene) Schuld of Phoenix, Ariz., Lucille Salzman of San Jose, Calif., Shirley (James) Brandner of Mesa, Ariz., Jerry (Shirley) Ertl of Sheboygan Falls, Don Ertl of Mesa, Ariz., and Susan Imperial of Mesa, Ariz.
She was predeceased by her parents, and a sister, Jeanette Pecher.
In lieu of flowers, the family will designate a memorial in her name at a later date.
