      (1864 - 1929)

      Thomas Robinson, 75, former street commissioner and operator of a restaurant and a hotel in Manitowoc for a number of years, died Saturday afternoon at the home of his son, Arthur, of 935 North 11th street. Mr. Robinson, who has been retired for several years, suffered a stroke a week ago.

      Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home, and at 9 o’clock from the Holy Innocents church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.

      Mr. Robinson was born in Kossuth in 1864 and after spending his early life on the farm came to Manitowoc to reside. In 1890 he married Miss Theresa Rocky. She died later and 31 years ago he married Miss Anna Lindau. She died 18 years ago.

      Mr. Robinson operated a restaurant in the 800 block on South Eighth street for a number of years and also was operator of the Robinson House, a hotel on Franklin street. He served two terms as street commissioner here. He also was a member of the joint school district board for the Division street school prior to the institution of the city system of schools in 1910.

      Survivors are a son, Arthur, of this city; two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Ringenheimer and Mrs. Virginia Beisuer, both of Chicago; two brothers, Lyman of Minnesota, Peter of Stangelville; sister, Mrs. Emma Spencer of this city; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

      The body may be viewed at the funeral home until the hour of the services Tuesday.
