  Obit. De Pere Journal 12-3-1981 John Van Dyke, 89, 828 Main St. Wrightstown, died at the home of his daughter Monday followin g a lingering illness. He was born June, 1892, in Wrightstown, a son of the late Matthew and Nellie Van Dyke. He mar ried the former Bridget Baeten Nov. 9, 1915, in Wrightstown and they farmed in the area. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Cemetery association of St. Paul church. H e was also a member of the Wrightstown Golden Agers. In 1976, he served as king of the Wright stown centennial celebration.Survivors are five sons, Irvin of Little Chute, Edward of Fort W ayne, Ind., Elmer of Kaukauna, Lloyd of Appleton, Sylvester of Wrightstown; one daughter Mrs . George (Rosita) Spierings of Kaukauna; two sisters, Helen Smits of De Pere, and Lorraine Fa lk of Morrison; 24 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at St. Paul church. The Rev. Shafer officiated a nd burial in the parish cemetery with Dewane Funeral Home handling arrangements.
