    • Jacqueline (Jackie) J. ROTHAUS
      May 9, 1938 ~ January 21, 2012
Jackie was born and raised on a farm in Antigo, Wisconsin. She attended Antigo High School and was a proud member of the Antigo HS Red Robin Marching Band. Her highlight during those years was playing during half-time of a Green Bay Packers game. After graduating from high school she moved to Chicago, Illinois to pursue a career in the airline industry. She eventually landed a job as a Stewardess with United Airlines. While stationed in Seattle she took a chance on a blind date and met the love of her life Jim Rothaus. They soon married, settled in Edmonds, Washington and started raising a family. Jackie was an avid golfer and at various times in her life was an active member of Inglewood G&CC, Everett G&CC, and Bermuda Dunes G&CC. In addition to her passion for golf, she truly enjoyed a well manicured yard and would spend hours cross cutting the lawn, pruning shrubs and tending her flowers. She is survived by her three children: Heidi (husband Pete Kirk), Don (wife Nikki), Bret (wife Lisa); her sister Barb Smith, and her brother Art Kuney. Heidi & Pete and Bret & Lisa gave her four grandchildren: TJ Kirk, Jordan Kirk,JR Rothaus and Kyle Rothaus. You could see the joy in her eyes whenever they were around. First and foremost, her life was dedicated to Family and Friends. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 3 at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 10051 NE 195th St., Bothell, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, 1100 Fairview Ave. N., PO Box 19024, Seattle, WA 98109.
