Mrs. Leo Weyenberg
Age 77, of 1123 N. 18th St., Manitowoc, died at 2 p.m. Monday at home after an illness of one year.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Mason-Weber Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls, and at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls, the Rev. Robert H. Hansen officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Mrs. Weyenberg was born Rose DeKelver February 29, 1884, at Green Bay, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Vincent DeKelver. She was married to Leo Weyenberg June 20, 1922, at Chippewa Falls, where they lived until 1941 when they moved to Manitowoc. While living at Manitowoc, Mrs. Weyenberg was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church.
She was also a gold star mother. Her son, Leo, was killed in action in 1943 at Normandy, France. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Mrs. Tom Dwyer, who died in 1957.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Donald McDonall of Sheboygan and Mrs. Fred Reitmeyer of Manitowoc; a son, Vincent of Tucson, Arizona; a brother, Francis of Marinette; six sisters, Mrs. Ann Gibb and Lillian DeKelver of Manitowoc, Mrs. Charles Tallant of Kenwick, Washington, Mrs. Jack Coonan of St. Paul, Agnes DeKelver and Mrs. Gertrude Malone of Waterford, Racine County, and 19 grandchildren.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Hom, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Wednesday where the Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Wednesdat, led by the Rev. E.A. Radey. The casket will then be moved to Mason-Weber Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls, where the body will lie in state after 3 p.m. Thursday and a Rosary will be recited at 8:30 Thursday.
