- Mrs. P. DeBruin Dies After Long Illness; Was 66
Came to Kaukauna At Age Of 6; Service At Holy Cross Church
Mrs. Peter De Bruin, 66, who came to Kaukauna at the age of 6, died at 2:30 Friday afternoon at her home, 609 George street, after a long illness.
She was born November 14, 1995, in Holland, and was a member of the Holy Cross church and the Christian Mothers society of the church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Herbert and Anton, both of Kaukauna; three brothers, John Kathagen, Appleton, and Anton and Theodore Kathagen, both of Kaukauna; three sisters, Mrs. George Stebbins, Edgerton, Mrs. Mary O'Dell, Appleton, and Miss Gertrude Kathagen, Kaukauna; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 9 o'clock Monday morning at the Greenwood Funeral home and at 9:30 at the Holy Cross church. The Rev. Andrew Quella was in charge. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Pall bearers were Adolph Sauer, Ewald Bill, Ted O'Dell, Clarence De Bruin, Roman Simon and Clayton De Bruin.
