    • RACINE – Adelbert P. Sherman, Lincoln Convalescent Center, formerly of Sturtevant, age 70, passed away June 7, 1974.

      Mr. Sherman was born June 18, 1903 in Racine. He was a self-employed auto mechanic, last working in 1970. He was a member of St. Sebastian's Church in Sturtevant and Apostolate of Suffering.

      Surviving are four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mrs. Herbert (Loretta) Waters, Racine, Mr. and Mrs. Tom (Monica) Hoenig, Ohio, Mrs. Frank (Kay) Heflen, Racine, Mr. and Mrs. Ted (Elaine) Gabor, Racine; one brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Sherman, Lisle, Illinois; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ed (Kay) Sherman and Mrs. Ray (Margaret) Sherman, both of Racine; nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella, April of 1970, and three brothers, Ray, Louis and Edward.

      Funeral services will be held at 8:45 a.m. at the Maresh-Meredith Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Sebastian's Church, Monday, June 10. The Reverend Martinian Snopek, O.F.A., will officiate. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Garden Crypts. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the Maresh-Meredith Funeral Home, Main Street at Eighth Street. Prayer vigil is at 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
