- Florence Marguerite Brouillard, 77, a lifelong resident of Crookston, died Tuesday, March 28, at the Riverview Hospital in Crookston.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 31 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with the Rev. Donald Krebs, officiating. Burial will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Crookston.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Stenshoel Funeral Home with a prayer service scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
She was born in Crookston on Nov. 21, 1911 to Emery and Alexina Dubuque Ste. Marie. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and attended St. Joseph's Academy, graduating in 1932.
She married Vital Brouillard on May 18, 1935 at St. Anne's Church in Crookston. They made their home in Crookston and Florence kept active caring for her children and home.
Vital died in May of 1969.
She was a member of the Cathedral parish and a former member of St. Anne's.
Survivors include nine sons, Richard and James of International Falls, Donald of West Fargo, Robert of Park River, North Dakota, Charles and John of Crookston, Lloyd of Spring Lake Park, Michael of east Grand Forks, Daniel of Twin Valley; four daughters, Sister Rose Marie of Minneapolis, Catherine of Escondido, California, Mary Beth McDonald of Bovey, and Madeline Parks of Chisholm; 23 grandchildren; two brothers, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
