Weber, Catherine F. "Flo"
Catherine Weber, of Kaukauna, age 88, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at Brewster Village. She was born on August 12, 1920, in Appleton, the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Bruehl) Dorn. Many will remember Flo as the hostess and waitress at Left Guard and Butte Des Morts Country Club.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Catherine enjoyed playing bingo, cards and word search. Her family gatherings were very important and she loved traveling, fishing and going up north.
Catherine is survived by her children: Edward N. (Ruth) Weber, Little Chute; Patricia Weber, Appleton; Cheryl (Arnie) Arts, Kaukauna; and James M. (Carla) Weber, Appleton; grandchildren: Sharon (Neil) Johnson, Eric (Kelli) Gerrits and Brian (fiancee Erin) Gerrits; William (Lori) Arts, Angela (Scott) Huebner and Westley Arts; Amy (Rick) Fifield and Michael (special friend Michelle) Weber; great-grandchildren: Lily, Luke and Isabella Johnson; Ryan and Mikayla Arts; Emerson Huebner; Carissa Fifield. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Flo was preceded in death by the father of her children, Edward G. Weber, Sr.; her daughter, Sharon Weber; brothers: Norbert (Josephine) Dorn and Chester Dorn; great-grandson, Joshua Johnson; and special friend, John DeGroot.
The funeral liturgy for Catherine will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, February 14, 2009, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna. Father Tom Pomeroy will be officiating. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton. The visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brewster Village, "The Mills" for their excellent care and compassion. Flo truly enjoyed her "home and family" the last two years at Brewster Village, you are all a blessing!
