    • Robert J. Wendricks, 67 , of Howard, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 13, 2001, after a short battle with cancer. Mr. Wendricks was born on March 23, 1934, in Green Bay, to the late Lawrence and Dionne (Lemerond) Wendricks. He served in the US Navy on board the USS Bradford DD545 during the Korrean Conflict from 1951 to 1954. He was honorably discharged in 1954. On Feb. 25, 1956, he married Phyllis Van Erem in Green Bay. Together, they celebrated 45 years of marriage. He worked 37 years at Bark River Culvert and Equipment and retired in 1997. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Green Bay. Robert enjoyed being at the cottage, fishing and spending time with his family.

      Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, Howard: children, Teri (Cal) Swisher, Florida; Cheri (Chops) Lambert, Suamico; Deb Wendricks, Howard; Richard Wendricks, Howard: Rob (Cheryl) Wendricks, Howard; grandchildren, Jason Van Dyke and Natalie; David Van Dyke; Wes (Jen) Swisher; Kim (Nick) Belongia; Jeff (Angie) Swisher; Jon and Nate Kowalkowski; Travis Lambert: six great-grandchildren; four brothers, Tom (Bernice) Wendricks, Norbert (Jean) Wendricks, all of Green Bay;; Roger (Pat) Wendricks, Connecticut; brother and sister-in-law, Nancy Barry, Green Bay; Carol (Harvey) Andersen, Minnesota; Dale Van Erem; Becky Van Erem,Suamico; godchild, Sue Naniot, Green Bay; close family friends, Dick (Jill) DeMuth and Tyler; his special friends at Bark River; and all the family pets.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; his father and mother-in-law Jacob and Hazel Van Erem.
      The family will receive friends at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home West, 1145 Cardinal Lane, Howard, on Wednesday, April 18, from 4 until 8 p.m. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral hme with full military honors to follow. Entombment in Ft. Hoard Memorial Park.
