      Roman Henry Simon
      Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin

      Formerly of Kaukauna, passed away Friday, January 21, 2000 at Lakeside Nursing Home in Chippewa Falls of the age of 90. He was born June 5, 1909, in Kaukauna, son of the late John and Minnie [Williams] Simon. He married the former Clara De Bruin on June 21, 1932. She preceded him in death on December 15, 1994. Roman had been employed for over 40 years by Gustman Chevolet-Oldsmobile of Kaukauna berfor retiring in 1974. He worked part time for Carstens Elevator, Fox Valley Tool and Die Co., and St. Vincent de Paul store during his retirement. He was a long time member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

      Survivors include a son and daughter in-law, Pat and Pam Simon, Eau Claire; sister, Eleanor Demerath, Wrightstown; six grandchildren, Jennifer [Mike] Eisold, Eau Claire; Josh [Lori] Simon, Eau Claire; Julie Simon, Marine Corps. New River, North Carolina; Jeremy Simon, Eau Claire; Jill Simon, Eau Claire; Jared Simon, Eau Claire; four great grandchildren, Brittny and Alyssa Eisold and Hary and John Simon.

      He was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence [Tom] Verbrick, Menasha; and Frances [Ralph] Bowers, Wrightstown; two brothers, Edwin [Barbara] Simon, Kaukauna; and Argo [Lylah] Simon, Kaukauna; his parents and his wife.

      The funeral liturgery will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 31, 2000 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Father Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 3-7 p.m at the funeral home and Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
