She was born in Brussels in June 1st, 1911 to Alex and Barbara Decker,. She married John C. Pennings, August 20th, 1930 and Appleton and they farmed and also had operated several nursing homes including the Dorchester Nursing Center. Survivors include her husband John, Green Bay, four sons and three daughters, including Mrs. George (Barbara) Schmelzer, Sturgeon Bay, a foster son, 34 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and two brothers.
