    • McCauley, Josephine (Pennings) 1959 Appleton Post Crescent dated 11/5/1959; Josephine McCauley, Mrs. Josephine Pennings McCauley, 62, of 739 E. Washington street died at 6;45 am today after a 4 month illness. She was born Oct. 11, 1897 in Freedom and lived her for the last 40 years. She was a housekeeper at the Monte Alverno Retreat House for the last 7 years. Funeral services will be 9 am Saturday at St. joseph's Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary's cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Elmer McCollum and a son Kenneth, both of Appleton; three brothers, John Pennings, New Franken; Arthur Pennings, Readfield and Leo Pennings, Cleveland, WIs.; four sisters, Mrs. Toney Derus and Mrs. Leo Benotch both of Kaukauna, Mrs. Herman Penterman, route 1, Appleton and Mrs. Marvin Green, New Franken, and 6 grandchildren.
