Age 82, died Thursday, December 15, 1994 at St. Paul Home. She was born October 20, 1912 in Freedom, the daughter of the late Henry and Minnie [Welhouse] De Bruin. Clara enjoyed watching her son grow and found special joy in spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers and Lady Foresters.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Roman Simon; a son and daughter in-law, Patrick and Pam Simon, Eau Claire; six grandchildren, Jennifer [Mike] Eiisold, Josh, Julie, Jeremy, Jill and Jared Simon; a great grandchild, Britny Eisold; a brother, Mel De Bruin, Appleton; two sisters and a brother in-law, Genevieve Van Schyndel, Evelyn and Martin Van Schyndel, all of Kaukauna; eight half brothers and spouses, Donald and Mary De Bruin, Luxemburg; Ken 'Toby' and Patricia De Bruin, Kimberly; Robert and Janice De Bruin, Kaukauna; Harold De Bruin, Menasha; Lloyd and Judy De Bruin, Appleton; Gordon De Bruin, Oklahoma; John and Juanita De Bruin, Little Chute; Victor and Dawn De Bruin, Combined; three half sisters and spouses; Dorothy Hawley, Black Creek; Elaine and Casey Van Cuyk, Kimberly; Judy and Jim Menting, Little Chute.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Lee De Bruin and a brother in-law, Henry Van Schyndel.
The funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Father Jack Mullarkey officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends ma call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna from 4-8 p.m. Monday until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. Sunday. A memorial fund has been established.
