- Elaine C. Kuhn, 85, Green Bay passed away on June 19, 2006. The former Elaine Albert was born on March 8, 1921, in Kaukauna, to the late Carl and Elsie (Paschen) Albert. She was a graduate of Kaukauna High School class of 1939. On October 9, 1943, she married Robert E. Kuhn at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kaukauna and he preceded her in death. Elaine was a woman of very strong faith and a longtime member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Green Bay. She loved spending time with her family and took great joy in watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. She also loved to watch all kinds of sporting events but was an especially avid Packers fan.
She will be sadly missed by her three children; Kathleen (Robert) Keller, Green Bay; Linda (fiance Doug Tahlman) Thelen, Sturgeon Bay and Timothy (Barbara) Kuhn, Hortonville; grandchildren: Scott (Denise) and Brian (Beth) Keller, Stacie Westen and Benjamin and Jennifer Kuhn; great-grandchildren: Collin, Elise, Griffin, Brooke and Nicole Keller; brothers and sisters: Esther Tremel, Wausau; Gertrude Griswold, Neenah; and Richard (Catherine) Albert, Normal, IL; sister-in-law Alice Albert, De Pere; brother-in-law Edward Kaphingst, Kaukauna; as well as many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, son-in-law James Thelen, brother Melvin Albert and sister Marion Kaphingst.
Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home and Crematory, 1630 East Mason Street, on Saturday, June 24, 2006. Visitation from 2-4 pm. with a Memorial Service to follow at 4 pm with the Rev. Paul Schleis officiating. Interment at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.
Thank you to all of Elaine's neighbors, but especially Jerry and Julie Dorn and Ralph and Annette Christopherson. The help you gave to mom made it possible for her to stay in her home. Also thank you to San Luis Med and Rehab Center, Bellin Advanced Care, Dr. David Kaufman and Diane Recker. Your special care is appreciated.
