    • Robert "Bob" R. Stadler, 91, formerly of Little Chute, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014, at AMC, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Appleton, July 1923, to the late Richard and Bernadette (Murphy) Stadler. Bob was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp, serving in the Pacific Theater from 1942-1945. He was a member of the Urban Klister American Legion Post 436 for 64 years.

      Bob married Leona Coenen in December 1946. From that moment, he never took his eyes off of her. She was the love of his life and his world revolved around her. Following his retirement from Zwicker Knitting Mills in 1986, Bob and Leona were able to spend over 20 years together at Kelly Lake, before moving back to the Valley.

      Bob lived an active life, enjoying square dancing, fishing, traveling, the Packers and playing cards. He was the family fix it man. Bob was a member of the Bagley & Brazeau Joyriders snowmobile club and enjoyed snowmobiling until he was 80 years old.

      Robert is survived by his wife of 68 years, Leona; children: Carole Metoxen, Little Chute; Jan (Mike) Mitchell, Antigo; Debbie (Tom) Yingling, Darboy; Tom (Lynn) Stadler, Menasha; and Jay (Nancy) Stadler, Sherwood; grandchildren: Lori Metoxen, Michele Malone, Tina (Dell) Herbst, Tara (Jim) Hoffman, Jaime Metoxen, Jeremy (Angie) Yingling, Ryan (Heidi) Metoxen, Amber (Shaun) Jones, Karissa Stadler, Lee Stadler and Kurt Stadler; great grandchildren: John, Zach, Jordan, Phoenix, Bradley, Scott, Abby, Deven, Ryan, Zayden, Keoni, Sophia, Skye, Katrina, Hazel and MaryAnn; and sister-in-law: Rose Kavanaugh. Bob and Leona were lifelong friends and neighbors of Coreen and the late Carl Sanders. Bob is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

      In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law: George and Mary (Hermsen) Coenen; infant daughter Mary; son-in-law Ron Metoxen; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Richard (Delores) Coenen, Andrew (Orpha) Coenen, Esther (Joseph) Kuborn, Marian (Bob) Driessen, Clarence DeBruin and Bob Kavanaugh.

      Visitation will be held Wednesday November 26, 2014 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE (323 Pine St. Little Chute) from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 12:00 Noon, followed by military honors conducted by the Urban Klister American Legion Post 436. The Rev.
