    • Beyer, Lucy Davis Of Brookfield, died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the age of 70 years. Beloved wife of the late Melvin. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Sue Beyer, of Clayton, NC; daughter, Lisa Beyer of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Sarah Beyer of Clayton, NC; and brother, Tom of Virginia. Private service for the family will be held at Appleton Highland Memorial Park Cemetery on Thursday, June 17, at 12 noon. Born June 8, 1940, in Richmond, Virginia, Lucy loved her work in tabletop at Macy's Department Store, where she received numerous accolades for outstanding customer service. The family wishes to thank the kind and loving staff of Ruth Hospice at Trinity Village for their endearing compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent in remembrance of Lucy to her son's parish, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2920 NC Hwy 42 West, Clayton, NC 27520.
