- Clifford F. Peot, 89, lifelong Green Bay resident, died Tuesday morning, October 5, 2004, at a local hospital. Clifford was born on May 3, 1915, the son of the late Nicholas & Nora (Denis) Peot. He was a graduate of East High School and Badger Business College.
On June 7, 1941, he married the former Margee Laundre and the couple enjoyed over 57 years together. Clifford served his country during World War II in the United States Coast Guard from 1942 until his honorable discharge in 1945. He was a long-time member of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Club.
Cliff worked at FMC (Hudson Sharp) Machine Shop and later took over management of their credit union. He also spent time in Saudi Arabia managing for Engineering Equipment Company. Cliff enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards and trips to the casino. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed the times spent gardening.
Cliff was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many. He will be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed. He loved to tease, especially his grandchildren, whom he fondly called "Toots" and he soon became known as "Grandpa Toots"
Clifford is survived by three daughters, Marne Trudeau (special friend, Clyde Trudeau), Julie (Mike) Novitski and Beth (Rick) Lamal, all of Green Bay; also grandchildren, Melannie Trudeau, Stephannie Novitski, Ryan Novitski (special friend, Amy), Erin Delsart (special friend, Adam), Leanne Delsart (fiance, Mike) and Brent Lamal; one sister-in-law, Kate Peot. He is further survived by Margee's siblings, Thelma (George) Anderson, Richard (Arletta) Laundre and Joan (Paul) Casey; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margee, on January 11, 1999; two sisters; one brother-in-law; one brother, Robert Peot; infant siblings, Walter and Elizabeth; and a special cousin, Irma Witherill.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2004, at Schauer & Schumacher Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave. Parish Wake Service 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue after 10 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2004, at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida Street. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. James Hablewitz officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
