- Allwardt, Richard A. "Uncle Buck" Richard A. "Uncle Buck" Allwardt, of Kaukauna, age 52, died Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at home. Rick was born November 4, 1955, to Kenneth and Wilma (Wiegand) Allwardt in Kaukauna. He graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1974 and had worked at Thilmany Papers since his graduation. Rick completed his education in 1999, receiving his electrician certification. He most recently had worked in the Electrical and Instrument Shop at Thilmany. Rick enjoyed amateur radio, Web surfing and e-mailing. He could tinker around with computers, lawnmowers, automobiles or any mechanical device and stretch its lifespan to years beyond anyone's expectations!!! He will be truly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his parents, Ken and Wilma Allwardt of Kaukauna; his son, Jeff and Tricia Allwardt of Katy, Texas; Jeff's mother, Deb and Ken Maynard of Mesquite, Nevada; siblings: Chris and Pat Stache of Hilbert, Gary Allwardt of Appleton, Mark and Connie Allwardt of Menasha, Julie and Jeff Gerrits of Kaukauna, Sandy (special friend, Jeff Weiland) Allwardt of Appleton; and many aunts & uncles, nieces & nephews, and great-nieces & nephews and good friends from work. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Debbie Allwardt; and a nephew, Ted Gerrits. Rick's funeral service will be 7 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2007, at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, with Rev. Walt Steinbach officiating. Friends will be received on Friday at the Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial is being established in Rick's name. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
