- Ruth E. Hawley, Clintonville formerly of Kaukauna, age 95, died peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Shawano Medical Center. She was born July 14, 1919 in Appleton, WI, daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Van Abel) Vandehey. On October 1, 1937 Ruth married Edwin Hawley in Green Bay. The couple enjoyed 60 years of marriage together prior to his death on January 14, 2003. Ruth loved to play cards, bowl, golf, fish and cook. She enjoyed spending time with her family; this was very precious to her. Ruth worked as a Diet Tech at AMC until her retirement. She was an active member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
Ruth is survived by her children: Jerome (Toni), Plymouth, WI, Patricia (Robert) Sievert, Hot Springs Village, AK, Robert (Nancy) Clintonville, WI, Leonard (Mary), Oshkosh, WI, David Hawley, Menasha and Donald (Betty) Appleton; 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 18 great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed.
The Memorial Mass for Ruth will be at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9. 2014 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at St. Aloysius Church, 2401 Main Ave., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received at church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, make a donation to the in her name and/or a memorial fund has been established. Burial will be in the family plot at St. Francis Cemetery in Hollandtown. The family has chosen Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna to assist them. 766-2099. www.boettcherfamilyfuneral.com
