    • Elmer E. Kranzusch, age 86, of Shawano, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019. Elmer was born on August 18, 1932 in Gogebic Co. Michigan, to the late Frederick and Helen (Kegebar) Kranzusch. He graduated from Appleton High School in 1950, and served his country proudly in the Army during the Korean Conflict until he was honorably discharged. He was united in marriage on May 28, 1955 to Joan Bazile, and preceded him in death on December 4, 2014. The couple owned and operated Village Bakery in Black Creek and in Bonduel for 18 years. He continued baking at Pick ’n Save until he was 71. Elmer was also a member of the Nicole Region Model “A” Club and loved hunting and fishing.

      Elmer is survived by: his son, Mark (Karen) Kranzusch of Shawano; Mark’s son, Steve (Darla Dick) Kastning and Steve’s children, Allen and Aliviah; Mark’s daughter, Brenda Heath and Brenda’s children, Whitney, Vanessa, and Isaac. Elmer is further survived by; his son-in-law, Erik Femal of DePere and his children, Tim, Brian, and Kristina Femal; his daughter-in-law, Janean Kranzusch of Appleton; two sisters-in-law, Donna Kranzusch and Sherry Kranzusch; his two great-great-grandchildren, Zaiden and Kyson, as well as other relatives and friends.

      Elmer is preceded in death by: his wife, Joan; two children, Glen Kranzusch and Marsha Femal; his parents; and his brothers, James, Frank, and Bruce.

      Military Honors for Elmer will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano, at 7:00 pm on Wednesday June 12, 2019 by the Shawano American Legion post # 117. Visitation will be held at the funeral home at 5:00 pm on Wednesday until the time of service. A second visitation will be held on Thursday June 13, 2019 at Highland Memorial Park from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by entombment.
