    • Mrs. Alice Patnode, 72, of Elmwood, Wis., died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Bashaw, at Manitowoc, Monday afternoon at 2:15 o'clock. She had been ill for only a few hours. Death was caused by heart trouble. Mrs. Patnode, a former resident of Elton, was well known in the vicinity of Antigo.

      Funeral services will be conducted at Arkansas, Wis., Friday afternoon.

      Mr. & Mrs. Alfred Patnode of Bryant, the former of whom is a son of the deceased, went to Manitowoc Monday evening.
