    • Mathilda Denzel, Franciscan Care Center, Appleton, formerly of Brillion, 86, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 1989, at the Care Center.
      She was born June 3, 1902, in the town of Woodville, the daughter of the late Adam and Agnes (Dohr) Breit. She married Anton Denzel on Sept. 15, 1924, at St. John. She farmed with her husband in the town of Brillion until 1962 when they moved to Brillion. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Brillion; and the Christian Mothers.
      Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Mary, Vincent and Joyce, and Eugene and Carol, all of Kaukauna; 11 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Matt Breit, Appleton.
      She was preceded in death by her husband on March 29, 1977; a daughter; a grandson; and three brothers.
      The Funeral Mass was held at St. Mary Catholic Church, Brillion. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
