Martha P. De Bruin
Kaukauna
Passed away at St. Paul Home, Friday, September 23, 2005 at the age of 93. She was born April 30, 1912, in the Town of Vandenbroek, daughter of the late Martin and Catherine [Verbeten] Diedrich. Martha married Alvin 'Al' De Bruin on June 29, 1937 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1989. Martha was employed at Essential Products in Little Chute for 25 years and retired in 1976. She enjoyed crocheting, golf and bowling. Martha found much peace in her faith and was a member of Holy Cross Church, Kaukauna, where she was a member of the Altar Society, distributed communion and was a prayer partner.
Survivors include her son, Dennis [Carol] De Bruin, Kaukauna; two grandchildren, Scott [Chris] De Bruin, Kaukauna; and Tim [Heather] De Bruin, Prairie Du Chein; three great grandchildren, Jacob, Jarret and Jackson; two sisters, Catherine Baumgart and Germaine Blair; brothers and sisters in-law, Ann Diedrich, Cal De Bruin, Carl [Grace] De Bruin, Betty [Rich] Meulemans, Cliff Weyers and Gloria De Bruin.
In addition to her husband and parents, Martha was preceded in death by seven brothers, Steve [Clara,], Ray [Minnie], Lester, [Virl], John [Gladys]. Victor [Ruth], Florian [Marie], and Austin Diedrich; three sisters, Gertrude [Ralph] De Broux, Anna [Al] Nieling and Dorothy [John] Shillcox; brothers and sisters in-law, Bill Baumgart, Jerome Blair, Joan De Bruin, Mary Lou Weyers, Fritz De Bruin and Mildred Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2005 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with the Rev. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Friends may call at the church from 3 p.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will be at the parish cemetery. A memorial has been established.

The marriage of Miss Martha Diedrich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Diedrich, route 1, Kaukauna, and Alvin De Bruin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert De Bruin, 1108 Desnoyer street, Kaukauna, took place this morning at 9 o'clock at St. John church, Little Chute. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. John J. Sprangers and the attendants were Miss Anna Diedrich, sister of the bride, bridesmaid, Miss Elmira Arnoldussen of Freedom, maid of honor, Raymond De Bruin, brother of the bridegroom, best man, Oril Milton and Edward Maul, Kaukauna, ushers, Mary Lou and Mary Alice De Bruin, sisters of the bridegroom, flower girls. Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served to 70 guests at the Diedrich home and in the evening the couple will be honored at a dance at the Nightingale ballroom. After a trip to northern Wisconsin Mr. and Mrs. De Bruin will reside in Kaukauna.
