    • JOSEPH A HOERTH, 58, a resident of Brant, Wis., died early today at St. Agnes hospital, Fond du Lac. He had been in ill health for five months.

      Born Aug 9, 1890, in Jericho, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hoerth, the deceased attended Holy Trinity parochial school at Jericho and was married to Mathilda Mary Karls at St. John’s church, Johnsburg on Feb. 12, 1912.
      He operated a tavern and dance hall at Brant for many years.

      Survivors are his wife; three sons, Alfred, Kiel, Roman at home and Harold, Brant; two daughters, Mrs. Ambrose (Helen) Propson, Brant, and Mrs. Donald (Evelyn) Smoot, New Holstein, and 15 grandchildren.
      His father, Carl, Fond du Lac and three brothers and five sisters also survive. They are; John of Chilton; August of Oakfield; Isadore of Kiel, Mrs. August Karls and Mrs. William Selk of St. Cloud; Mrs. Peter Karls and Mrs. Julius Konen of Fond du Lac and Sister Damian Hildegard in Wyoming. Four sister and brothers preceded him in death.
