Notes - Verhagen, Walter Jr. 1976 Appleton Post Crescent dated 11/9/1976, Walter Verhagen, age 33, died unexpectedly at 6:45 p.m. Monday. He was born March 8th, 1943 in Little Chute. He had been employed by the Thilmany pulp and paper company. Mr. Verhagen had been active in the Boy scouts. He was a 1961 graduate of St. John high-school. Survivors include his wife, Frances, his mother Mrs. Walter (Del) Verhagen Sr., of Little Chute, two daughters, and Julie and Kathy, both at home, three brothers, James of Darboy, Eugene of Kaukauna, and Douglas of Little Chute, two sisters, Mrs. Marcellus (June) VanGompel, of Little Chute and Mrs. Carleton (Grace) Fiestedt of Greenville. He was preceded in death by his father. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute with Reverend John Blaha officiating. Internment will be in the parish cemetery.
