Born on October 17, 1938, in New Franken, he is the son of the late James and Julia Basten. Frank graduated from East High School class of '58. He served our country in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962. Frank married the former Diane DeLaurelle on January 15, 1966, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He then went on to become the proud father of his three children. Frank worked at Green Bay Packaging for forty-two years before he retired. He enjoyed his cabin, collecting and sharing his treasures found at auctions and sales.
He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Diane; three children, Doug (Tammy) Basten, Tammi Basten, and Brian (Danielle) Basten all of Green Bay; six grandchildren, Courtnay, Evan, Alec, Tyler, Michael, and Nolan; two great grandchildren, Aerionna, and Lucas who is on his way; one brother, Norbert (Betty) Basten; sisters-in-law, Nancy and Jan; many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Clarence and Lorraine DeLaurelle; three brothers, Leo, Ron, and Don Basten.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home 701 N. Baird St. Tuesday July 7, from 3 PM until the time of the Parish Wake Service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday at the funeral home from 9 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Rev.
