- Age 97 passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2004. Tillie was born in Freedom on March 22, 1907, daughter of the late John and Delia (Sanderfoot) DeBruin. Tillie was married to Elzear Meulemans on October 15, 1926; he preceded her in death in 1952. Tillie was a lifelong Kaukauna resident, was a former member of the Kaukauna Golden Agers and the Christian Mothers Society.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Tillie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Albert, Peter, Henry, Peter, John, and Nicholas; and sisters Mary Van Eperen and Magdalene Brasch.
The funeral liturgy for Tillie will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 23, 2004 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 10 AM until the hour of the services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Tillies name has been established.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. Paul Elder Services, to the Kaukauna Clinic physicians and their staff, and especially to the workers on Apple Tree Court for the loving care and companionship they provided. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
